Our story
Built for fashion that feels like us.
Joda Collective is the marketplace for South Asian fashion — from bridal lehengas and Garba outfits to diaspora streetwear, Indo-western fusion, everyday kurtas, and creator drops.
Why Joda exists
South Asian fashion commerce is completely fragmented.
Whether you're hunting for a bridal lehenga, a diaspora streetwear drop, or an Indo-western blazer — you're stuck scrolling Instagram stories, WhatsApp groups, and Etsy with no measurements, no real search, and no clear way to contact sellers.
Sellers — from boutiques to streetwear brands to home designers — spend all day in DMs, answering the same questions repeatedly, watching their best drops disappear from Instagram Stories after 24 hours.
Joda fixes all of this — a marketplace built for the full spectrum of South Asian fashion, not just weddings.
The old way
Instagram DMs that die after 24 hours
WhatsApp groups with no search or filters
Etsy listings with "DM for measurements"
Boutique websites that are never updated
Diaspora streetwear with nowhere to sell except Instagram
Indo-western designers buried under mainstream fashion platforms
Word-of-mouth networks that only work if you're in the loop
The vision
The marketplace for South Asian fashion, full stop.
Bridal is the entry point. Culture commerce is the larger vision. Every category of South Asian fashion — ethnic, casual, streetwear, fusion, accessories — belongs here.
Buyers searching for outfits — from bridal to everyday wear
Streetwear brands and creators dropping South Asian culture fits
Local boutiques wanting to reach digital buyers in their city
Instagram sellers needing a permanent storefront
Fusion and Indo-western designers making pieces for diaspora buyers
Custom stitchers taking orders with measurements built-in
Jewelry & accessories sellers offering rental and purchase
College orgs and garba crews sourcing outfits for events
What we believe
Our values
Trust over volume
We'd rather have 50 deeply trusted sellers than 5,000 anonymous listings. Every seller on Joda is a real person with a real city, real photos, and real measurements.
Local over anonymous
South Asian fashion is personal. Whether it's trying on a lehenga or picking up a custom tee — meeting sellers in person matters. We prioritize local connections.
Culture, not just categories
Joda is organized around how South Asians actually live — Garba season, Diwali drops, everyday diaspora fits, campus fits, wedding season. Not just "lehenga" and "saree".
Seller-first platform
We make money from sellers, not buyers. That means we're always building in the seller's interest — better discovery, better tools, better reach.
How we make money
Seller subscriptions and promotions. Nothing else.
We do not take commissions, process payments, or participate in your transactions. Buyers pay sellers directly. Joda makes money from seller plans and optional promotional placements — exactly like a market stall or a magazine ad.
This aligns our incentives with yours: we succeed only when buyers find your listings valuable enough to reach out.
